It all started like a big joke 7 years ago

"If you know you are between the ages of 13-19 please stand up. I want to pray specially for you"

That was Pastor Biodun Coker (then Parish Pastor) speaking during a Sunday Sermon. Teenagers all stood up with much enthusiasm thinking it was what Pastor actually meant.

Then came the shocker

"Because of your peculiarity, henceforth you shall be having a separate service of your own".

That sounded great, right? But no, it was not what we wanted! Teenagers didnt like it, moreso as it was under a canopy and at times under an uncompleted part of the Church. We grumbled, mumbled, and did all sort but we dared not protest. Reluctantly, we found ourselves under one canopy. That marked the birth of the TRIUMPHANT TEENS CHURCH, ACME PARISH. 

The vision to groom teenagers who are godly oriented and successful in their diversified careers took off with Bros. Chris and Asuquo anchoring affairs in a church that started under one canopy. They emphasized a lot on holiness and purity (we probably at one point thought they were strict people). That baton of leadership has passed through many God-fearing and resourceful people. First after Bros. Chris and Asuquo came Bro. Olabode (now Pastor Ayo Olajide, Area 36 Pastor of RCCG), then to Bro. Dapo Awosika (now a Parish Pastor and also a successful Legal Practitioner), Bro. Kola Akinyemi (a minister in RCCG and a qualified Architect) and Pastor Adebodun (a Pastor in RCCG also). After him was Deacon Dipo Joseph, who is a Pharmacist by profession and a deliverance minister in the parish as well.

Today that mantle rests on our amiable and down-to-earth Pastor, in the person of Deacon Leke Johnson who is a Computer Science graduate. He doubles his leadership of the Teens Church also as the Personal Assistant to the Provincial Pastor in the person of Pastor Femi Atoyebi.

One thing worth noting is the fact that each leadership tenure came with own message (spiritually, academically, physically, emotionally, socially, and morally) to change our lives positively.

AND THE RESULT?

Today that gathering of reluctant novices under one canopy that Sunday morning now boasts of university graduates and undergraduates all around the globe mostly in Nigeria, U.S.A., England and South Africa to mention a few.

We are a family here and our Coordinators have stood by us through these years. These are accomplished Bankers, entrepreneurs, academicians, and business administrators who devote their time and resources, knowledge and self-will to groom us unto good success.

We now operate 11 functional ministries namely: Believers Class, Search the Scriptures, Evangelism, Prayer Band, Follow-up, Engineering, Ushering, Transport & Organizing, Drama, Counseling and Tracts & Publications ministries, all headed by responsible and trained teenagers.

We can only thank God for how far He has led us, His mercies has been plenteous (Lam 3:22-23  ).
